Making your media library content accessible is easy by adding captions and transcripts to your uploaded videos. Captions improve accessibility and allow viewers to follow along or navigate through your video content efficiently.
File Requirements
Before getting started, make sure your caption file meets the following specifications:
File Format: VTT format (
.vtt)Maximum File Size: 5 MB
How to Upload Captions
Navigate to your Media Library and select the video file you want to upload.
Once the video file has finished uploading, click on the three dots icon next to the video to bring up additional options.
Select the option to add captions and upload your
.vttfile.Review the quick preview provided, then click Save Captions.
Look for the closed caption icon. When it turns green, your captions have been successfully attached to the video.
What Your Viewers/Clients Will See
When you feature your captioned video (e.g., as part of a store item), your clients gain access to interactive viewing tools:
Interactive Timestamps: Clients can view captions alongside timestamps, allowing them to jump directly to specific parts of the video.
Auto-Scroll Toggle: Viewers can turn the caption auto-scroll feature on or off depending on their preference.
Downloadable Transcript: Clients have the option to download the full transcript at any time.
Hide Captions: Viewers can hide the transcript display whenever they prefer an unobstructed view.
