Learn how to customize your site’s navigation menu, adjust page visibility settings, create custom URL redirects, and configure global header and footer options in OfferingTree.
Managing Navigation Menus and Custom Links
You can fully customize how your menu items appear and point users to internal or external pages.
How to Add a New Menu Link
Navigate to the Pages section under Website in your admin dashboard.
Select the option to Add Menu Link.
Enter a Menu Name.
Choose whether to link to a page on your site or an external page (useful when embedding pages on an external web host).
(Optional) Nest the item under an existing menu item to create a dropdown menu instead of a standalone item.
Choose whether to open the link in a new tab or keep visitors on your site.
Enable Show in Menu and save.
How to Add or Reposition the Home Tab
Click the three dots next to the Home page item.
Click Show from Menu to remove default positioning. This will make the Home navigation menu show up as the first item on the header.
To Reposition the Home tab, click settings and Hide from Menu.
Add a new custom menu link named "Home", point it to your home page, and toggle Show Menu.
Drag or reorder the menu item to your desired location (e.g., front of the navigation bar).
Tip: Look at the quick icons next to navigation items to quickly distinguish between actual pages on your site and simple link redirects.
Page Visibility and Settings
You have full control over who can view each page and whether it displays in your navigation bar.
From the Pages menu (or from the left sidebar when editing a page), you can:
-
Change Visibility:
Public: Visible to anyone.
Draft: Restricted to signed-in staff members with website hosting capabilities.
Members Only: Restricted exclusively to users with specific memberships or packages.
Toggle "Show in Menu": Hide the page from the main navigation bar without changing its visibility or making it offline.
Duplicate, Delete, or Share: Duplicate pages, delete unwanted pages, copy direct share links, or retrieve embed codes for external websites.
Setting Up URL Redirects
Redirect old URLs to new destinations so visitors using legacy links don't hit broken pages.
Go to your site settings/redirect options.
Add a Redirect Link by specifying the old URL path (e.g.,
/pricing).Select or enter the target destination page (e.g., your
/memberships-and-packagespage).Save the redirect. You can edit or remove existing redirects at any time.
Configuring Global Header & Footer Settings
Customize header and footer layouts directly from the left sidebar editor on your home page.
Header Settings
Styling & Branding: Adjust background colors, header fonts, logo, brand images, and call-to-action sections.
Sticky Navigation: Enable sticky navigation so the menu bar remains visible as visitors scroll down.
Header Visibility: Toggle the entire header off to hide both the header and navigation menu across all pages.
Footer Settings
Layout & Content: Configure title display, contact forms, color schemes, brand images, and extra content blocks.
Footer Visibility: Toggle the footer on or off globally across all pages (ideal when embedding pages on external sites to avoid double footers).
