Important Notes for 123-reg:
- 123-reg Interface: 123-reg's interface might vary slightly. If you have trouble finding the correct settings, consult their help documentation or contact their support.
- Zone File vs. Individual Records: 123-reg might present your DNS records in a "zone file" format, or they might allow you to add/edit individual records. The principles are the same; you just need to locate the correct place to add the CNAME and A records.
- Propagation: After saving your DNS changes, it can take some time for them to propagate across the internet. Be patient.
- Contact OfferingTree: It's essential to contact OfferingTree after making the DNS changes so we can complete the setup.
- Support: If you have any trouble, contact 123-reg's customer support for assistance. They are the best resource for questions about their specific interface.
-
Root Domain: The "@" symbol often represents your root domain (e.g.,
yourdomain.co.uk). Some providers might use a different way to indicate the root domain, so check their documentation or contact support if you're not sure. They might recommend setting up a redirect for the root domain to thewwwsubdomain.
