How to use a domain purchased from iwantmyname.com on OfferingTree

Connect your iwantmyname domain to your OfferingTree site by updating your domain's DNS settings. This allows you to maintain ownership of your domain and continue to renew it directly through iwantmyname. You will continue to be responsible for paying for your domain through iwantmyname.

Here's how:

1. Log in to iwantmyname: Go to iwantmyname.com and log in to your account.

2. Manage Domains: Navigate to the section for managing your domains. This might be called "Domains," "My Domains," or similar.

3. Select Your Domain: Choose the domain you want to connect to OfferingTree.

4. DNS Records or Zone Editor: Look for a section called "DNS Records," "Zone Editor," "Advanced DNS," or similar. This is where you'll manage the DNS records.

5. Add/Edit DNS Records: You'll need to add or edit two records:

   • WWW CNAME Record:

     • If a CNAME record for "www" exists: Find it and edit it.
     • If a CNAME record for "www" doesn't exist: Add a new record.
     • Type: CNAME
     • Name/Host: www
     • Value/Points to/Target: customdomains.offeringtree.com

   • @ A Record (for your root domain):

     • If an A record for "@" or your root domain (e.g., yourdomain.com) exists: Find it and edit it.
     • If an A record for "@" or your root domain doesn't exist: Add a new record.
     • Type: A
     • Name/Host: @ (or your root domain)
     • Value/Points to/IP Address: 35.209.110.2

6. Save Changes: Save the changes you've made to the DNS records.

7. Contact OfferingTree: Email us at support@offeringtree.com to let us know you've completed these steps. We'll then finalize the connection on our end. Please allow up to 24 hours for the DNS changes to propagate.
