Your scheduled offerings, series, and appointments can be set up to collect donations or have tiered pricing. This allows you to have your clients pay from suggested payment amounts, or optionally, pay what they can. You can also set minimum donation amounts if you allow your clients to pay what they can. If you'd like to see a tutorial video of this feature, please check out the bottom of this article.
Tiered Pricing for Scheduled Offerings
To set up tiered pricing or donations for your scheduled offerings, edit your scheduled offering to accept online payments, and then check "Allow tiered pricing/donations". You can optionally uncheck the "Require payment to register" to allow your clients to register and pay you later.
Tiered Pricing for Event Series
Event series also have similar options for tiered pricing. When creating or editing an event series, you will have to first accept online payments and then check "Allow tiered pricing/donations". You can optionally uncheck the "Require payment to register" to allow your clients to register and pay you later.
Tiered Pricing for Appointments
Step 1: When creating or editing your offering, edit your appointment information
Step 2: Scroll down to the bottom of the options and check "Allow tiered pricing/donations".
Tiered Pricing Options
When setting up tiered pricing you have three options to present your clients:
- You can allow your clients to choose any amount they can pay. You can also set a minimum donation amount or choose to leave the "minimum payment amount" blank or enter zero, which will allow your clients to enter "0" as their donation amount.
- You can allow your clients to choose any amount they can pay, but also pick from suggested payment amounts. You can also set a minimum amount in this case.
- You can set up payment amount tiers that your clients have to pick from. Your clients will have to pick from one of these options.
The tutorial video below shows OfferingTree's tiered pricing / donation feature that you can use to set up tiered pricing or donations for events, series or appointments. You can set up a pay-what-you-can donation or multiple pricing tiers or both.
