Google Search Console is a free service offered by Google that helps you monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot your site's presence in Google Search results. In order to use this service, Google requires that you verify that you own your domain.
OfferingTree supports domain verification for custom domains that exist on OfferingTree. You have several options for domain verification as listed in Google's help article. If you own your domain and have access to the DNS settings, you can choose to use that method for verification.
Our recommendation is to use the HTML tag method for verification. Once you have the required tag, you can add it to the HEAD of your site from the "Site Integrations" settings page.
- Click "Add code to HEAD"
- Give your integration a name such as "Search Console Verification" and paste the tag in the "Integration Code" section.
- Save the integration
- Return to the Google Search Console and trigger the process to have it verify your domain.
