With tags, you can send newsletters and emails just to certain contacts that have a tag or don't have a tag. You can also search and segment your contacts by tag. Tags are automatically created by the system whenever a client registers for an event, purchases a package or memberships, or purchases a store item. In addition to system generated tags, you can create your own and assign them to any contact(s).
Managing Tags
To manage your tags, go to the Contacts section of your admin site and select the Filter Contacts drop-down and then press "Manage Tags".
This brings you to the manage tags page. The table has two sections, one for your custom tags and one for system auto-generated tags. You can create a tag by pressing the "Create Tag" button. You can search for a tag by typing in the search input. Press the "Delete" button on a row to delete the custom tag (system auto-generated tags cannot be deleted).
The table shows a contact count of all contacts that have been associated with the tag. You can press on the contact count to show a filtered list of all the contacts that have been tagged. You can then send an email to that list of contacts.
Assign and remove tags from a contact
Search for a contact and go to the contact detail page. You will see all the tags that have been associated with the contact. You can remove a tag from a contact by pressing on the X within the tag. You can also add a tag to a contact by pressing the "Add a Tag" button.
