Once you have created your login , you will be greeted by your main account dashboard. To make building your business as smooth as possible, we highly recommend starting with the basics and moving step-by-step through your essential settings.
Step 1: Utilize the Setup Steps Guide
On the top left corner of your dashboard, you will find the Setup Steps Guide.
- Open this guide to track your progress.
- If a specific step does not apply to your business, you can simply skip it or mark it as complete to keep your checklist clean.
Step 2: Establish Your Branding and Style
Before building out heavy content, establish your site's visual identity in the Style Settings:
- Colors: Add your exact brand colors to make designing your subsequent webpages and homepage much easier.
- Fonts: Choose from the available list of site fonts. If a specific Google Font you need is missing, reach out to OfferingTree Support to have it enabled for your site.
- Animations & Imagery: Set global page animations (which can be overridden on custom pages later). Upload your company logo and a custom Favicon , which replaces the OfferingTree icon in your client's browser tab.
- Domain: Request and connect your custom domain name. This can be done either before or after your site goes live.
Step 3: Customize Your Homepage and Pages
Your site automatically comes with several pre-published basic pages (such as Offerings, Schedule, Blog, Store, Memberships, and Contact).
- Editing Sections: Click on any section of your page section and click the Pencil Edit Settings icon to modify colors, change background or inserted images (using your own photos or integrated stock photos), and tweak primary or secondary buttons.
- Hiding Content: If you are actively working on a section but aren't ready for clients to see it, use the setting to hide it from the public site.
- SEO & Titles: Within your page settings, you can edit your SEO descriptions to help get found online , adjust the Navigation Title (what shows up on menus) , and adjust the Page Title (what shows up on the browser tab).
- Custom Pages: While you cannot change the URLs of default system pages , you can build completely new custom pages using the Sprout builder or layout templates , customize their URLs , and even assign a new custom page to become your primary homepage.
Step 4: Set Up Your Payment Processor
To legally and securely transact business, you must connect a payment processor:
- Navigate to your Business Settings and find Payment Settings.
- Click Add Payment Processor to link your Stripe account.
- This will open a secure onboarding sequence where you can log into an existing Stripe account or create a brand new one. Note: Payment options will not appear on your service listings until Stripe is fully connected.
Step 5: Configure Business and Location Settings
Take a few minutes to fill out the technical infrastructure of your business under the settings panel:
- Input your basic business information and primary physical locations.
- Set up your client cancellation rules and guest registration guidelines.
- Configure automated email settings, sales tax compliance, and any third-party app integrations or report preferences.
Step 6: Add Offerings and Set Your Schedule
Think of Offerings as template cards for the services you provide.
- Create an offering, assign it to a category, add an image, and write a compelling service description.
- You can set offerings up as weekly classes, workshops, events, or one-on-one appointments.
- Go to the Schedule tab to input your time availability, which tells the system exactly when you (or your staff members) are open to taking bookings.
Step 7: Layer in Memberships, Packages, and Store Items
Once your standard services are live, you can group them into specialized payment tiers:
- Packages: Typically run out and feature a set number of credits (like a 10-class pass) or expire on a specific fixed date.
- Memberships: Automatically renew with every billing cycle (weekly, monthly, or annually) and can feature limited credits or unlimited access.
- The Store: Use this section to sell physical items or upload digital files and assets for your community to purchase.
Getting Help & Staying Updated
- Learn More Buttons: Every single section of your dashboard features a Learn More button that links straight to a dedicated help article or video for that exact tool.
- Help Center: Visit the help menu to discover video tutorials, deep-dive webinars, and direct channels to contact our customer support team.
- What’s New: Look at the top of your dashboard under the little megaphone icon to instantly read about the newest feature releases and software updates.
When you are fully satisfied with your setup, simply click Publish Site to go live!
