Our Group Booking feature allows you to offer semi-private appointments where one client can book and pay for multiple people in a single session. You can set dynamic pricing that changes based on the number of attendees.
Setting Up a Group Appointment
To enable group bookings for an offering, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Offerings and select the appointment you wish to edit.
- Scroll down to the booking settings and click Edit next to Enable private 1:1 appointments.
- Check the box for Allow groups or semi-private appointments.
- (Optional) Set a minimum or maximum number of attendees to control the group size.
- Define your pricing tiers based on the number of clients. You can set a unique price for a solo attendee, a duo, a trio, and so on. For example:
- 1 person: $100
- 2 people: $140
- 3 people: $150
- You can also define the number of credits required per group size if the appointment is redeemable with a membership.
- Click Save.
How Clients Book a Group Appointment
Your clients can book for their group by following this simple process:
- The client navigates to the booking page for the offering and selects a date and time.
- On the registration screen, they can choose to book for just themselves or Add guests to the session.
- As they add guests, the total price will automatically update to reflect the tiered pricing you set up (e.g., the price will change from $100 to $140 when one guest is added).
- The client making the booking then proceeds to checkout, where they pay for the entire group with their credit card or an eligible membership.
Important: The person who initiates the booking is responsible for the full payment. The system does not split payments among the attendees.
Managing Group Bookings (Admin View)
After the Booking:
- Attendee List: On the admin schedule, the appointment will show all attendees registered for the session.
- Automated Communication: Every person in the group (including guests) will receive their own confirmation email and a request to sign a waiver, if required.
- Rescheduling: You can manage or reschedule the appointment just like any other booking.
Booking for a Client Through the Point of Sale (POS):
You can also book a group appointment on behalf of a client.
- In the Point of Sale, select the primary client who will be paying.
- Choose the semi-private appointment and select a time.
- On the checkout screen, use the Add Guests option to add the other attendees.
- The price will adjust automatically based on the final number of people.
- Complete the transaction using the primary client's membership credits or another payment method. The primary client will be charged for the entire group.
