In this article, we'll show you how to reschedule an appointment if you need to change the date, time or other details of an appointment. When you reschedule you don't need to cancel, refund and book the appointment again you can simply edit the details of the appointment and your client will get a notification of the new appointment details automatically.
Find the Appointment Booking
To get started you need to find the appointment you'd like to change. You can either go to the schedule page or the roster page on the backend to find it.
Edit the Appointment Details
Once you find the appointment you need to edit on the backend, click on the appointment to bring up the Appointment Registration details pop-up. On the pop-up you'll see an Edit Appointment Details button. Once you click on the button you'll be taken to a form where you can edit the appointment details.
From the form you can change the following details on the appointment.
- Offering
- Start date & time. Note that this is the time that you will start the appointment with the client
- Appointment Duration. Note that you can only increase the duration if you check the "Override availability schedule" checkbox. This is because your availability cannot be guaranteed if you overextend the original appointment duration.
- Setup time & cleanup time. Note as with the duration you cannot increase these value unless you check the "Override availability schedule" checkbox.
Once you are done modifying the appointment details, press the "Schedule" button and your appointment will be updated!
