Connect the terminal to WiFi
When you first power up the terminal, you will be prompted to set up the Wifi connection. Find your WiFi network and enter the password to connect to the network. You should connect to the same WiFi network as your Point-of-Sale device.
If you are having trouble connecting to the terminal, first ensure its connectivity. On the terminal, go to settings (swipe right on the screen, enter the Admin PIN: 07139), and then select Wi-Fi settings. This displays all available Wi-Fi networks. To see more details about the connection, tap on the connected network name. Ensure that:
- the network is connected and has internet access
- the signal strength is strong
- the device has an IP address assigned
- the card reader is on the same Wi-Fi network as your OfferingTree Point-of-Sale
If the WisePOS has lost its connection
Press and hold the power button for 6 seconds to restart the device.
Ensure that the device's battery is fully charged
Check the Wi-Fi connection on all devices: The WisePOS E and your OfferingTree Point-of-Sale should be on the same Wi-Fi network
