OfferingTree's Point-of-Sale can connect to Stripe's BBPOS WisePOS™ E terminal reader via Wifi. Click here to order your Stripe Terminal Reader and have it delivered to you. You can have as many terminal readers as you need to be attached to your OfferingTree Point-of-Sale.
Setup the terminal
When you first receive the device, install the battery. With the back of the device facing you, lift up from the indentation at the bottom left corner to detach the back cover. Insert the battery by sliding it into the exposed slot with the gold connectors at the top aligned. After the battery is in place, charge the reader by using an outlet or the optional ethernet dock. Connect the reader to power by plugging the provided cable into the port with the lightning bolt symbol.
After the terminal is fully charged, hold down the power button on the right-hand side until the screen turns on. After the device powers on, press the power button to sleep or wake the device. To fully power off the device, hold down the power button until the power off option is shown on the screen, then select it.
Connect the terminal to WiFi
When you first power up the terminal, you will be prompted to set up the Wifi connection. Find your WiFi network and enter the password to connect to the network. You should connect to the same WiFi network as your Point-of-Sale device. The first time you power up your terminal, it may need to install software updates from Stripe. Allow this process to finish before registering your terminal.
Register the terminal
Next, you'll need to register the terminal on your point-of-sale. To do this, navigate to the "Business Settings" -> "Payment Settings" and find your Stripe account.
Click "Register Terminal" and enter the registration code that is displayed on your terminal screen (the code is a group of three words), the physical location of the terminal, and a name for the terminal.
If for some reason you do not see a registration code on your terminal, you will need to enter the settings screen on the terminal to generate a new code. To open the settings screen swipe right from the left edge of the terminal screen to reveal a settings button. Tap the settings button and enter the pin 07139. Tap the button to generate a new registration/pairing code to get a code. This method can also be used to re-register a terminal with your point-of-sale.
Once you have registered the terminal, it is ready to use on your Point-of-Sale. Remember to keep the terminal plugged in and charging when not in use. Stripe will occasionally push out updates to the terminal that will only get applied if the device is powered and connected to WiFi.
