Sprout is an AI-powered assistant built into Offering Tree that allows you to create and edit professional webpages using natural language. Instead of manually adding blocks, you can simply describe what you want, and Sprout will build it for you while matching your website's existing fonts and colors.
Enabling or Disabling Sprout
Sprout is completely opt-in. You can enable or disable it at any time from Business Settings → Sprout AI Settings. When disabled, Sprout will not appear in your page builder and no AI features will be active on your account.
Getting Started: Creating a New Page
To start building with Sprout:
Navigate to create a New Page.
Select the Sprout template.
A chat window will open on the side of your screen. Type a description of the page you want to build (e.g., "Create a landing page for my event series").
Click Send.
Sprout will automatically pull relevant information from your account to build the page, including event details, packages and memberships, lead forms, store items, images, and your branding. It generates a complete page structure with headers, widget sections, calls to action, and navigation — along with the Page Title, URL, and SEO Description.
Editing Your Page
Sprout isn't limited to just pages it created—you can use Sprout to edit any page on your website, regardless of how it was originally built.
Adding new sections — Tell Sprout what you need and where. For example: "Add a Frequently Asked Questions section at the bottom." Sprout will generate relevant content based on your page's context. You can edit the text manually or ask Sprout to refine it.
Editing a specific section — Hover over the section you want to change, click the Sprout icon attached to that block, and enter your prompt. Only that section will be affected.
Replacing sections — Ask Sprout to swap out a standard block for something custom. For example: "Replace the upcoming events section with something more creative." Sprout will generate a new layout while keeping your site's color scheme and fonts.
Designing with Reference Images
If you have a specific design in mind or an image of a layout you like:
Copy and paste the image directly into the Sprout chat window or click the image upload button.
Tell Sprout to use it as a reference (e.g., "I like this design, replace the top section to look like this").
Sprout will mimic the layout from the image but populate it with your actual content, titles, and functional buttons (like "Register") that link to your real offering pages.
Undoing and Redoing Changes
Sprout keeps a history of your chat prompts, allowing you to manage changes easily:
Revert: If you don't like a change, click Revert on that specific chat message to undo it.
Modify: You can go back to a previous prompt, modify your instructions, and have Sprout try again.
Previewing and Publishing
Before publishing, use the Preview button to check how your page looks on desktop and mobile. Sprout automatically handles responsive layouts, animations, and linking buttons to your actual offers and registration pages.
When you're satisfied, click Save to publish.
Tips for Best Results
- Be specific. Instead of "make this better," try "Add a blue call-to-action button with white text that says Get Started."
- Iterate. You don't need to get it right on the first try. Follow up with refinements like "Make the headline font larger" or "Swap the image on the left."
- Reference sections by name. Tell Sprout to "Move the pricing section above the testimonials" and it will know exactly which blocks to rearrange.
- Upload reference images. If you're struggling to describe a style, a screenshot or mockup helps Sprout understand the look you're going for.
- Watch your credits. Sprout uses a monthly credit system. Your remaining balance is shown below the chat input field. Credits reset monthly, and you can upgrade your plan anytime if you need more. Learn more about credits here.
Our commitment to responsible AI
Ask Sprout is built in line with OfferingTree's broader approach to AI. A few principles worth highlighting:
- Your data is not used to train AI models. Your business data — pages, clients, revenue, schedules, conversations with Sprout — stays yours.
- Human review for quality and safety. Conversations with Sprout may occasionally be reviewed by our team to troubleshoot issues and improve the experience. This is for quality and safety, not for training AI.
- You stay in control. Every AI feature in OfferingTree is optional. Sprout is here to help you find answers faster — not to make decisions for you.
- We're transparent about limits. Sprout is good at answering questions about your data, but it's not infallible. We'll continue to be upfront about what it does well and where it falls short.
For our full approach to AI, see our AI Code of Ethics.
Feedback & Beta Status
Sprout is currently in Beta. While it's powerful, it may not get things perfect every time. If Sprout produces something unexpected, click the thumbs down icon on that chat response to send feedback directly to our team. This helps us improve Sprout for everyone.
