You can offer exclusive perks to your members by creating discount codes that automatically apply based on the specific assets they own. This allows you to reward clients—such as giving half off standard drop-in classes to anyone holding a private membership—without requiring them to enter a code manually.
How to Set Up Member Discount Perks
Navigate to Discounts and create a brand new discount or select an existing one to edit.
-
Configure the administrative and client-facing names:
Code Name: Enter an internal code. This remains hidden from your clients and is used by the system to process the discounted payment.
Title: Enter a client-facing title that clearly displays on the checkout screen.
Choose the discount type and select whether it deducts a percentage or a flat currency amount.
Establish usage parameters by deciding if you want to limit how many times an individual client can use the discount, or limit the total number of collective uses allowed across your entire customer base.
-
Choose Discount Code Target:
Select the items to be discounted by adding all eligible offerings, packages, memberships, or store items to the discount code list. Note: Do not include the membership itself, as the membership acts as the trigger, not the discounted item. -
Scroll down to link the qualifying assets and choose which specific packages, memberships, or store items grant access to this perk.
Save your settings to activate the automated discount perk.
What The Client Sees
When an eligible client views the schedule and selects an included class, the system handles everything automatically:
If the client possesses the qualifying asset (e.g., a private sessions membership), the system recognizes it during registration.
The discount code and its respective value (e.g., 50% off) automatically apply at checkout with an on-screen explanation. No manual entry is required.
If a client happens to have a separate manual discount code with a superior value, they retain the flexibility to manually apply that code instead.
The client simply clicks Next to finalize their registration with the adjusted price.
Useful Tips & Notes
How Eligibility Window Changes by Asset Type
The lifespan of a discount perk depends directly on the status of its triggering asset:
Memberships: The perk remains active for as long as the client's underlying membership is active. The perk can be removed if the discount is only set for a period.
Packages & Store Items: Clients enjoy access to the discount perk without experation as long as the corresponding package or store item remains active, meaning it has not expired, still holds active credits, or has not yet been returned from a store rental.
Note on Automatic Plan Renewals
If you set a usage limit per client (e.g., limiting the perk to 2 discounted sessions) without applying a hard expiration date to the discount itself, those usage limits will automatically reset and renew with every recurring billing cycle.
