Sell Gift Cards

You can sell Gift Cards on your site that your clients can buy and gift to others. Once purchased, the owner of the gift card can use the stored card value to purchase your offerings. It's a good way to get upfront income and spread your offerings to your client's friends and family.

To sell a gift card, go to the Gift Card page on your Admin site. 

Check the Active button which will allow the gift card to be able to be sold on your site. Choose whether to allow clients to choose any gift amount (with a minimum) and/or select suggested gift card values. You can also optionally set an expiration date for the gift card. Once you save your gift card settings, you can start selling your gift card. Press the "Share" button for the URL you can share with your people.

Gift cards can be purchased on your site at <Your site URL>/gift-cards. You can also copy this link and add it to any of your Call-to-Action buttons within your site.

View Purchased Gift Cards

You can view the purchased gift cards on the Gift Cards page on your admin site below the setup form. You'll see a table of all the purchased gift cards. You can edit the gift card balance, and expiration date or void the gift card by clicking on the action menu on the right. 

Gift cards are a great way to add a pre-paid revenue stream to your business. It also provides a way for your clients to spread the word about the great things you offer!

Tip: Handling Multiple Gift Cards

The checkout system allows customers to apply only one gift card per transaction, a client may reach out asking to combine multiple gift cards they’ve received.

How to combine balances for a client:

1. Find the two (or more) gift cards in your "Purchased Gift Cards" table.

2. Choose one card to be the "primary" card.

3. Click the action menu for the other card(s) and Void them (or set their balance to $0).

4. Click the action menu for the primary card and select Edit Balance to add the value of the voided cards to it.

5. Notify your client that their single gift card code now carries the total combined balance!
